C-Clamp Prop Removal Tool

This is the best tool for removing your prop from a 1", 1-1/8" and 1-1/4" shaft.

Prop removal tips:

1. Make sure that key is in the 12 o'clock position before installing the clamp so that the key does not fall off of the shaft and get lost.  It also helps when installing the new or repaired prop to use gravity to hold the key in place while aligning the prop, key and keyway.
2. Do not completely remove the prop nut, back it off of the prop about .25" so that the prop does not come off the shaft when it eventually pops loose.
3. Do not overtighten the C-clamp bolt, it can strip the threads.  Use a large hammer (5lb) to hit the back of the clamp to pop the prop free.
